Effects of High-Volume Ground Slag Powder on the Properties of High-Strength Concrete under Different Curing Conditions

Massive high-strength concrete structures tend to have a high risk of cracking. Ground slag powder (GSP), sustainable and green industrial waste, is suitable for concrete. We carried out an experimental study the effects GSP with specific surface area 659 m2/kg on hydration, pore structure, compressive strength chloride ion penetrability resistance Results show that adding 25% increases adiabatic temperature rise concrete, whereas 45% decreases initial rise. Incorporating refines structure greatest extent improves which more obvious under early temperature-matching curing conditions. Increasing has impact pozzolanic reaction than cement hydration. From comprehensive perspective, potential applications in cleaner production
